Academic Reception Office
At the Academic Reception of USP International Cooperation Office, located at CDI – International Diffusion Center, on Campus Butantã, international and national delegations visiting the University of São Paulo are welcomed, in order to generate and develop academic cooperation opportunities.
The office also promotes, as well as the local international offices, face-to-face assistance for receiving and advising undergraduate and graduate students, staff members and professors from other countries. In addition, it facilitates the internationalization and optimization of actions already developed by USP International Cooperation Office, such as the dissemination of instructional material in English to the international public, support for USP Faculties in scheduling with the Federal Police to legalize the stay of foreigners in Brazil, and the coordination of programs aimed at exchange students, such as USP iFriends.In addition to face-to-face service, the office provides virtual assistance for those seeking general information about USP’s international activities (international.info@usp.br), works together with local international offices to make appointments with the Federal Police (migration.info@usp.br) and coordinates the USP iFriends volunteer program (ifriends@usp.br).
In order for the entire target audience to receive our service, we have the support of the USP Community, to disclose to its international peers the activities of the Academic Reception Office.
Due to the Coronavirus, the activities of the Federal Police and the Academic Reception Office have changed:

USP International Cooperation Office suspended all activities from March 23rd, 2020 on.
USP International Cooperation Ofice remains attentive to the worsening of the epidemic and the adoption of temporary and emergency measures against contagion by Covid-19 as well as the guidelines sent by the health authorities and the Rector of the University of São Paulo.
Consequently, the office SUSPENDED in large part its physical activities from March 23rd, 2020 on until further notice and will serve all only by institutional e-mails.
