IPMM 2011
Overview
The 7th International Conference on Intelligent Processing and Manufacturing of Materials will take place in the Hotel Mabu (http://www.hoteismabu.com.br), in Foz de Iguaçu Brazil. The IPMM, which was initially held in 1997 in Gold Coast, Australia, for the first time, will be in South America. Previous events have taken place in Gold Coast, Australia (1997), Honolulu, Hawaii (1999), Vancouver, Canada (2001), Sendai, Japan (2003), Monterey, California (2005), and Salerno, Italy (2007).
IPMM conferences are an occasion for researchers, scientists, engineers, and technologists from a wide variety of fields to come together to share in their business intelligence experience. Presentation topics focus on software applications in areas of Artificial Intelligence (fuzzy logic, artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms, and Agent-based architectures) to improve industrial processes. We also encourage hardware applications in robotics, process control, manufacturing systems, and other related “intelligent" methodologies. All accepted papers will be published in a CD-ROM proceedings available to delegates at the conference. All papers will be reviewed by at least two referees. Selected papers will be published at an international peer-reviewed journal (Materials Sciences Forum). The conference theme for 2011 has been chosen as:
Sustainable Intelligent Approaches to Mining, Materials and Energy Resources
This year’s Call for Papers is organized around six key-topics:
·Renewable Energy Resources
·Business Intelligence applied to the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources
·Intelligence in Climate Change Science
·Intelligent Processing Techniques and Public Policies
·Future Directions in the Machine Age
·Role of Intelligent Processes in Emerging Countries
