Morphometry
- Otolith Total Length (LO): the greater distance between the anterior/posterior axes.
- Otolith Total Height (HO): the greater distance between the dorso/ventral axes.
- Otolith Total Thickness (TO): the greater distance of the medial and lateral faces.
- Otolith Weigth (WO): otolith mass.
- Area (A): measure of the otoliths surface.
- Perimeter (Pe): value of contour line of the otolith.
- Circularity (Ci): measures the similarity of the structure in relation to a perfect circle, considering its minimum value 4 pi ((Ci = Pē/A), where Ci= circularity, Pē= perimeter, A= Area).
- Rectangularity: measure of the ratio between the area and the length/height, considering the value 1 as a perfect rectangle ((Re=A/OLxHO), where Re= rectangularity, A= Area, OL= otolith total length, HO= otolith total height).
- OL / TL % = OL / TL * 100
- OH / OL % = OH / OL * 100
- OT / OL % = OT / OL * 100
- OT / OH % = OT / OH * 100
